Spike tries to salvage what he can of the girl they knew while struggling with his own crumbling mental state. Buffy sinks even further into depression. Willow tries desperately to pile spell after spell in an attempt to fix everything. And as it all falls apart, Giles realizes that he’s truly needed to help pull them all together again.

Healing is a process. It doesn't just happen one day. It happens in steps and phases. Spike goes through those steps and phases, trying to put his life back together after he's injured in season two.
Unsure of what to do about her crumbling relationship or how to keep her sister safe, Buffy uses a crystal made by Willow to trigger a slayer dream. A slayer dream that warns her to be wary of wolves who hide their fur under the skin.

The world always seems to be in danger in May. And especially on Tuesdays. This time, it's up to Spike to stop the coming apocalypse.
Spike burned up in the Hellmouth, his soul and self pulled into the amulet in a moment of noble sacrifice. Nineteen days later, he comes back out in Angel's office. Nothing but an immaterial ghost and trapped with Angel.... You'd almost think it was his very own personal hell.
As lovely as it is to hear Spike sing, Rest in Peace would make more sense if it happened later in the season. Or if something between Spike and Buffy had happened sooner.
While Glory inches closer to identifying the key, her recent torture victim's need for comfort and desperation to help lead him down a dark path of seduction with a demon who could destroy him.

With Tara in the hospital after being brain sucked by Glory, Willow takes Buffy up on an offer of a trip out to the desert to clear her mind. While there, she comes across a child, alone and scared. When she ends up falling into a sealed underground, Buffy and Spike have to try save her from darkness while keeping young Frisk out of danger.
Spike and Buffy must work together to stop the end of the world.
About to go on the run from Glory, Buffy takes a moment to relax with someone who should have been her enemy.
She’d kissed him. She’d kissed him, and then she’d run away and had acted like it hadn’t meant anything. Spike tries to figure things out after the kiss from Once More With Feeling.
