This brought tears to my eyes. Powerful reminder about the difference between the relationship Buffy had with each of the two main vampires in her life. Loved it.

I love this story so much. Spike isn't even awake for it, but it's such a powerful look into their relationship. Angel and Buffy were never equals in their relationship. He hated showing weakness to her and always wanted to project an image of strength. Spike gave all of himself to her. He showed her his strength, but he also had the courage and love to show share his weakness with her. That's why Spike can accept the gift of Buffy's blood while Angel can't.
