Buffy and Spike are finally a couple. But after spending so much time and effort building up their emotional intimacy, they've sort of lost their way with the physical side of things. A road trip to Oregon seems like the perfect time and place for them to work it out. Through talking. Definitely talking. Certainly using their mouths. And tongues. And maybe a few other things.
Years of well-established coupledom under their belts, Buffy and Spike are visiting Angel and Sally in LA to hear a special announcement. Buffy realises there are some things she should probably “talk out” with Angel. Because it’s rude to scream, right?

It's late season 2, and Spike discovers Buffy locked out of her house after patrol. Shenanigans ensue.
Assume Buffy and Spike made their truce a bit earlier than in canon - leaving them some time before Acathla - and that Joyce still doesn't know Buffy's the Slayer. Memories have been adapted to include Dawn.

In 2023, the world is about to end and Faith starts travelling back in time, trying to fix it. Facing down her own death, Dawn has a plan to send Spike somewhere he won't have to lose everything: a dimension where Buffy is still alive.
The only problem is, so is her husband: Spike.
