As the Slayer, it’s Buffy’s job to police the demon community, which is mostly just mediating minor disputes and catching the occasional carnivorous cow before it wanders into a human city. Then, one night, there’s a knock at the door….
After the events of Destiny, Spike is finally ready to go find Buffy. Assuming he can overcome decades of conditioning.
I had something to say to each of them, but I don't think the message got through. It's harder to communicate in dreams than you'd think.
Buffy and Spike are finally a couple. But after spending so much time and effort building up their emotional intimacy, they've sort of lost their way with the physical side of things. A road trip to Oregon seems like the perfect time and place for them to work it out. Through talking. Definitely talking. Certainly using their mouths. And tongues. And maybe a few other things.

Buffy comes to some realizations about herself, the nature of her love, and her feelings for Spike on the eve of the biggest fight of her life, but will it be too little, too late? Spoiler Alert: No, it won’t.
Buffy Summers jumped from the tower to close Glory's portal in 2001, and Spike only survived her death because Dawn needed him. But Buffy's sacrifice didn't work. In 2023, the world is about to end and Faith starts travelling back in time, trying to fix it. Facing down her own death, Dawn has a plan to send Spike somewhere he won't have to lose everything: a dimension where Buffy is still alive.
The only problem is, so is her husband: Spike.
Like all of the Further Tales, this can be read as a stand-alone what-if. But you may appreciate it more after reading Ripples on a Hellmouth.

This was written for nmcil, who wanted a Giles and Anya story set at Halloween. Ten drabbles of Giles and Anya at Halloween from Season 3 onwards, plus an epilogue. Alternating perspectives, and sort of vaguely comic-compliant. It was originally posted in October 2015.

She can't change anything directly. Will Buffy choose wisely and save the world, maybe even herself? Or just make everything worse?
